‘The charge of the light rail brigade’

Light rail provision provides far more than just tracks and vehicles for people to move around in.

In Sydney at least, there is recognition there are far wider, more substantial benefits….with more people living next to, over or adjacent to a light rail stop as well as other aligned development such as offices, retailers and other mixed uses.

Whilst the article mentions one apartment owner complaining about the cost of the existing light rail, the new light rail will be beneficiary of being integrated with the wider transport network.
